Twitter reaction to Andreas Antonopoulos event in Denver
Last night Arapahoe Library District hosted a speaking and book signing event of Andreas Antonoopoulos author of Mastering Bitcoin and The Internet of Money. The event was well attended with around 300 people in attendance.
Andreas spoke on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general he then did a long Q&A session where he went deep into every topic that was addressed at him. We will cover the topics covered in the session in more detail in another post but for now just wanted to showcase what was said about the event on Twitter.
Darkstreet wants to thank both Antonopoulos for coming to Denver and also the Arapahoe Library District for running such a great event.

Best quote about Bitcoin in 2018 in my opinion:— Joseph Young (@iamjosephyoung) August 7, 2018

Had a great time listening to and meeting @aantonop tonight in Denver. Got both my books signed. Also enjoyed meeting and chatting with @bitcoinmom who encouraged me to start a bitcoin meet up in Grand Junction. Might have to give that a try seeing how much fun this event was. pic.twitter.com/WElNUTI4hz— Zachary Owens (@zaowens) August 7, 2018
Darkstreet bloggers also were able to meet with Daniel Brenner from the Crypto Bubble Podcast. It was great to meet up with him and his friend David at the event.

I went to see @aantonop speak in the Denver Tech Center this evening. He is an impressive speaker and strong advocate for #btc and #crypto in general. It looked like #Denver showed up, probably about 250 in attendance.

He spoke about the need for making basic financial services (like having custody of your money & uncensored transactions) available for all through #Bitcoin and other #cryptocurrency. Also, his expectation of #interoperability and how individual cryptos will likely specialize.

I was fortunate to be able to ask him a question.
I asked, "What would be signs that #BTC was succeeding? And on the flip side, what would be signs that things were going poorly?"
He referred me to a talk he gave a couple weeks before:https://t.co/jUmyPZLR5M

To summarize his answer:
If the people of the world gain freedom to hold and transmit value without interference from govts, that would be success.
If #cryptocurrency ultimately obsructed or censored individuals from freely transacting, that would be a bad sign. pic.twitter.com/BYsuv2QqeT

Thanks again @aantonop for visiting Denver and giving such an outstanding talk.
Keep fighting the good fight!
